The Odeon... NOW SHOWING

Frankenstein

If you're a film fan this will be a very very special experience for you. This is Thomas Edison - the man often miscredited with the creation of cinema - directing a 1910 rendition of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. So old that it played on the Edison Kinetoscope

As a piece of film history this is beautiful for it's style, it's aesthetic and competant understanding of layout and composition and most shockingly it's use of special effects in the form of various in-camera and editing tricks.

This is a truly beautiful and special viewing experience.
