The Odeon... NOW SHOWING

Deep Red

Yes, that's right, it's not some obscure title-progenitor, it's the classic 1975 Dario Argento indulgent, baroque horror masterpiece.

In this must-see for genre fans a psychic picks up the thoughts of a murderer in the audience of a lecture, and soon becomes a victim. An English pianist gets involved in solving the murders, but finds many of his avenues of inquiry cut off by new murders, and he begins to wonder how the murderer can track his movements so closely.

Not quite a match for the legendary Suspiria in either tone or sheer visual indulgence, but still one of Argento's best.
